Coaching

1-1 Executive and Leadership Coaching

I work with directors, senior managers, aspiring leaders and consultants on a 1-1 basis. I will help you to recognise and build on your successes, and overcome any internal and external challenges you may be facing.

Typical scenarios include leading with authenticity, growing in confidence as a leader, dealing with overwhelm or imposter syndrome, transitioning in leadership roles (in or out!),  enhancing your influencing and negotiating skills,  improving challenging relationships, finding more work-life balance or thinking about the next stage of your career.

Coaching can help you feel happier, more balanced, more authentic and more productive at work. It can also have a hugely positive impact on your wider life and relationships.

What is Executive and Leadership coaching?

Performance = potential – interference
“Unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.” (Coaching definition: Timothy Gallwey 1978, John Whitmore 1999)

Effective coaching is not just about what is happening externally (the outer game) but working with your inner game (areas of interference – for example fear, self-doubt, frustration, a busy mind) so you can be your most successful and authentic self in your work place.

As a coach, I create a safe, focussed listening space for you to think through your unique situation. My role is to ask insightful questions, give encouragement, and provide a balance of support and challenge, so that you can find your own solutions and create real change. I use a range of models and resources to assist in the coaching process.

I work directly with individuals or in three way contracts with individuals and their organisations.

What are the benefits?

At the heart of coaching is the belief that we all have the answers – and great potential – inside us, and when we choose to take responsibility for our thoughts and actions, our performance is enhanced and our level of success rises.

1-1 coaching at an executive and leadership level can:

  • increase confidence, resilience and clarity
  • improve our performance and that of our organisation
  • lead to better leadership and more motivated, more productive colleagues

For some senior leaders, their relationship with their coach is the one outlet they have to honestly focus just on themselves with an objective, non-judgemental and confidential audience. For those who embrace it and take responsibility to change, coaching is immensely rewarding and can be life changing.

How many sessions will you need and how much will it cost?

My coaching programmes are offered in packages of sessions. Many clients start with six sessions of approx 75min each, as regular coaching over a number of months has the most impact.   Costs are dependent on a number of factors and start at around £1500 for a package of sessions.
